Our staple event each year is back! We are searching for another team to try and go even faster this year – covering the 180-miles (and the ferry journey) in as close to (if not under) 23 hours as possible. Compared to last year’s unsupported ride, there will be a very minimal level of support to try to increase the team’s speed. This will include a support vehicle to carry your equipment during the ride and transport you back to the UK. The aim will be to return to London in time for participants to go to work Monday morning with full bragging rights of their weekend’s accomplishments.
The route has not changed (yet remains subject to alterations if required) and will see the team depart Buckingham Palace, roll down The Mall before filtering towards Gatwick and Newhaven. Do not expect a glamorous night’s sleep – a couple of hours sleep (if you’re lucky) on the ferry’s chairs will see the team arrive far too quickly into France! The Avenue Verte is a traffic-free 25-mile stretch of tarmac to wake the legs up on before ending in Forges-les-Eaux. Pressing on towards Gournay-en-Bray and Marines, the scenery is stunning and very gently rolling through quiet roads. After Marine the team will enter the suburbs of Paris before the finish-line at the Eiffel Tower appears. A photo opportunity and quick celebratory beer will mark the end of your efforts before hopping into the support vehicle to return you to London in time for work the following morning!
Numbers are strictly limited to 12 so signup now to avoid disappointment!
